This website was created in 2023 after I was awarded two medals from the Vanuatu government (Vanuatu National Medal of Merit and the Vanuatu 40th Anniversary of Independence Medal) for service in Vanuatu in 1980.

Independence Medal
It is impossible to source replica full size or miniatures of either medal. The National Medal of Merit ribbon was available but the ribbon for the 40th Anniversary of Independence Medal was elusive.
By creating digital images of the awards, I am able to at least display them court mounted with my other medals in a frame.
+++ Update +++
As of 24 Aug 2026, the Vanuatu 40th Anniversary of Independence Medal ribbon is now available for purchase from Christie’s in Sydney.
Both awards are recognised and approved by the Australian government at: https://www.gg.gov.au/australian-honours-and-awards/accepting-and-wearing-foreign-awards-australians
